FRIDAY 11/20 SNOWSTORM

Speak for yourself. Those of us up in Cedar Falls and Waterloo keep getting more and more every time one of these comes out.

I know I should have taken my snow blower into the shop last week, but the weather was to nice.

KCRG is going with the highway 30 corridor in the bulls eye. We will see how it plays out.

Kimt has lower amounts up here. I know they are right because their weather person is a dude I find totally unattractive.

This is why you should never blindly follow raw model output, as I see posted in these threads time and time again. This is the strongest, furthest north output I've seen.

In comparison, here's what I have in my forecast for my area.

I'm sure it's been discussed already so SIAP... So many limiting factors, and I don't even have to deal with a mixture up my way. Track/Strength are still far from nailed down, although with what I've looked over make me believe the southerly trend to bring the heaviest snow across US 20. Ground temps up my way are still 45-50°. Air temps during the day on Friday will be will be above freezing. In my time, those last two are big factors in keeping totals lower than model output would suggest.

That said, have fun in the snow Iowa!

Spam town, my sisters family lives up. I use Albert Lea for my farm weather seeing how that is about the closest bigger town I can get info from.

All this talk about rushing to the grocery store, don't you people have Amazon Prime?? Pretty sure they have enough food items that you could get in 2 days worst case.

(& don't try telling me their trucks wouldn't make it!)

Or just hyvee delivery.

I am ready to watch DH use the new toy. Hope he lets me try it someday.
