Football seats are protected UPDATE 6.1.20

I LOVE the idea of a section for people that don’t think they have enough space where they are assigned.

People I sit with will probably banish me and a couple other to the "island of social distancing". We tend to be a little over boisterous ever now and then.

So I'm guessing for us non-donor season ticket holders that park in GA we can assume that the whack jobs that usually run the GA parking is going to allow us some reasonable space between vehicles and not try to park us so tight you barely have any room around you? The way this update is worded sounds like there will still be tailgating of some sorts allowed. We aren't in donor parking so it's always been 6 hours before kickoff for us but makes me wonder if they'll just do a blanket X number of hours before kickoff for everyone regardless? TBD I'm sure, the specifics will likely evolve more over the summer as things change.

I wonder what will happen with GA parking. If they are spacing out vehicles in the donor lots, would they also give GA lots to donors? Hard to imagine they will bump donors for non-donors.

For all I care they can have us park on campus again like we pretty much did for all but 2 games last year when the GA lots were too wet as long as there are porta pots nearby. The real test is going to be if you only have around 30k going into the game just how many people are still going to tailgate? Makes me wonder what % of season ticket holders don't have parking passes because the GA lots are also used for those who purchase single game tickets so in theory without single game ticket sales the GA would be less full too.

I was surprised with the update. I assumed they would spread everyone out and I'd be sitting in a worse spot as a results. Instead I'm guess most will be assign to lower level and the center of the upper (where most season tickets are) with about the same people density as prior years (less a few singles and people that decided to sit this year out). Then the upper corners will be pretty empty so if you want to distance you can move up there.

Not what I expected, but it makes sense. They are basically saying if you come to the game we really can't protect you from getting the virus.

I read it that you will have your previous seats and if it has too many people for your comfort level there are areas you can move to. (Probably ends and corners)
