Play 7:30 quarters. No big delay for coin toss. Heads is home, tails is visitor. Take ball or play D. Switch directions each quarter. Play till someone wins.
 
I think the current NFL model is fine, just get rid of the damn game clock. I do think that if you take the possibility of a tie out of the equation it will completely change how teams attack, especially after both teams have had a possession.

I’d be fine with no OT. That’s your only “play football” rule because the nfl’s sudden death is far less real football than college ot with teams creaming their pants at the thought of a fg and acting like a TD is bad.

The NFL hasn't had pure sudden death since 2010.
 
Use the college model, simple.

It took them a long time but college OT has been perfected.

In the flip side college needs to copy nfl replay system.
College model is almost perfect. Go back to the old version and remove the two point conversion only section and it is perfect. If you need to move the starting position back a bit fine but it is so much better.
