Somebody get out to the Ames airport at 6:51 and let us know who gets off the plane. It is only here until 11:05 and then it returns to Raleigh. Of course there is a HS BB game in Ames tonight so it might just be a NC recruiter here to see Barnes.

No it's not. Pollard already knew this was all but a done deal when he put out the press release, otherwise you don't put it out. Chizik knew he was looking for an OC and DC for the Auburn job when he fired his. He is already had a bad track record here, he needs to take some high profile assistants with him to Auburn. I would be money that he was already alerted by Auburn that they were getting rid of Tubby and he was a serious candidate, and he probably started shopping for coordinators to take with him to Auburn when he finally did get that job.
I know Kelly really wanted the MSU job, but it sure would have left us in better shape had he taken ours and not pissed around waiting for the MSU job.
My guess is McFarland is his OL coach, Bolt his LB coach, Sheppard his S&C, and he will find a spot for Koonz somewhere since Koonz has followed him twice now. Oh, I forgot, he will also take his life skills coach. All that time I thought he was spending interviewing coordinators for ISU, and now you couldn't totally convince me he wasn't talking to coordinators with the hint that he would be taking them with him to Auburn.
The university has removed that plane number from flight tracking systems like FlightAware.

This may be overreaction, but I fire Chiziks entire coaching staff now. He brought in a bunch of friends and they all proved on the field that they don't deserve there jobs. Cut them loose, being a friend of a 5-19 coach who leaves us high and dry after demoting coordinators and firing 2 other coaches don't deserve our athletic dept money a day longer than their buddy skips town. IMO from what their record has shown their only qualification was knowing Gene and we owe that ******* no debt.
Edit: That way we can only guess that every major coach we interview is for a coordinator or the Head job and all our plane tracking becomes like a fun little puzzle to distract me from final studying.

They have contracts thru next summer which means they get paid until then whether they're on the job or not. There is no reason to do anything now. If they are retained for next season is up to the new head coach.
That is an overreaction. You don't fire anyone, because if you do, you pay buy-outs. Let them leave on their own or make sure the new coach doesn't want them.
