Fire all the coaches.

Because of our history, we usually put up with some really bad football far too long. I really don't have the answers as to whether CPR should be fired, but it's possible that putting up with losing football is part of why our history has been so poor. Chicken or the egg I guess.

I've started to come around to this way of thinking. Demanding results doesn't mean you will get them, but if you are going to be ok with where we are in year 5, why even bother.

We tried not putting up with bad football when we fired Mac in 06, but then we ended up with the disaster that was Chizik. I was thinking about this scenario the other night....if Rhoads was hired to replace Mac instead of Chizik, and had the exact same record as he has had in 5 years, I think he would be fired by now. His seat would have been getting hot after the Memphis embarrassment, and losing to UNI or the 70 points against Baylor would have been the last straw. But 5-19 made us happy to lose only 7 games a year.

I don't know that I want Rhoads fired, but the refusal to go for it on 4th and shorts today makes me feel like he's giving up. And there might not be anywhere else in the country where a coach can survive a 1-11 season five years in.

I'm convinced after listening to JP on the call in show last Monday that Rhoads will NOT be fired. No way. He brought up how many successful head coaches had some really horrible years before turning their programs around. Plus.... JP can't afford to fire Rhoads yet either.

However, everyone else involved in this program should at least be on the table, including Yancy. This is crazy bad football right now that we are all witnessing. There's no excuse for playing this poorly, even with the injuries IMO.

Fire someone. Fire the equipment manager for all I care, just show me you're taking this seriously and are trying to fix this. Because losing by 30+ to this KSU team is the most embarrassing loss of the year, and that includes the Baylor game.

Dude, he just got a 10 year extension. You have any idea how much money it would take to fire him, and then to go out and fine someone that would want to come to ISU (not an easy task) and then find the money to pay them (even harder). I will bet 1 million dollars that Rhoads will not be fired, and I am 100% serious on this bet if anyone wants to take me up on it. HE. WILL. NOT. BE. FIRED.

I initially thought this was an overreaction thread, but the Cyclones are absolutely, hopelessly lost. There a several players that should be sat down for the rest of the season. There is no excuse for anyone but Nealy getting carries. QB was just loafing on the last INT. This coaching staff has no idea who to play where. I guarantee I could put together a better game plan for TCU by 9:30 tonight than we will see against TCU. The coaching is just pitiful to the point that all the players have quit. The fans are quitting too.

Can you even read? You must have missed the part of my post where I said..... "Plus.... JP can't afford to fire Rhoads either".

C'mon. Work on your reading comprehension.

Nothing is more embarrassing than losing to a .500 FCS team on your home field. Baylor and KSU definitely rank below that.

Okay, I will take you up on your guarantee. Put together a game plan and ****** the first 10-15 plays you would run. After you are done doing that, go back and take into account on the 3rd play from scrimmage you lose your LT. Now what do you do? Put them in a file and next Saturday morning come back to this thread and attach it to this string. We can wait if you need until midnight.

There's something wrong with a guy with an "I Trust Fred" banner bumping a thread titled "Fire all the coaches." If Fred had some injuries this year and lost 6-7 non-conference games, would you be asking for him to be fired as well? Do you only trust a coach when they are winning? Is that really trust>?

Every time Gary has been back to field punts for the past three (or more?) games, it has been questioned on these forums. People like to say that coaches are smarter than fans, but when something this obvious happens week after week and there is no accountability... not going to finish this sentence.

I don't trust CPR.
