If Dana was so concerned about his player's safety, why didn't he just call a timeout to get all players not currently on the field, to the locker room. I mean seriously, the mob was building at the fence. He could obviously see they were going to rush the field. IMO, he was an idiot if he truly felt his players weren't safe.

The reality of the situation is DH was not concerned about his players in the least. Come on, highly trained athletes in body armory have absolutely nothing to worry about from a bunch of excited college students wanting to celebrate the win. What the real concern is that one of his guys that just got their asses kicked might take a swing at a fan and start a riot.
I like the Security t-shirt idea, but another good one would be t-shirts that read "Professional Fan". Then Dana can't say it was "unprofessional", right?
I'd say that the WVU players were much safer walking out after the game than they were during the game where they repeatedly got shitstomped.

WV players were "safer" getting off the field than Iowa State players. The students mostly ran right past the WV losers so they could crowd around the ISU winners. From what I saw on video, most WV players didn't have much trouble getting to the locker room.

I think our storming was far more impressive than Wazzu's. All credit to our professional fanbase.
But the biggest difference is that Ohio State likely won't whine and cry about it like WV did, so nothing will have to be done about it.
Same with Oregon. They likely won't whine and cry about WSU rushing the field either, so nothing will have to be done about it.
