Bad things are going to happen if you attack a police officer.
Bad things are going to happen to that officer. He won’t have a job tomorrow.
"Hey, she hit me first" has always been a surefire winning defense.
Like getting charged with assulting a police officer, yes. Getting knocked the **** out should not be one of those things.
When you have to get carted out of a football game on top of 4 officers shoulders indicates you aren't going to win the Nobel Peace Prize to begin with.
As a male cop, you have to have more cool than that when dealing with an overly drunk female.
Why not put her down and place her in cuffs when she started to swing?
She is going to jail and possibly prison for slapping the officer and for resisting arrest.
The police brutality portion is a little more difficulty to judge the outcome, but there's almost no way that isn't deemed excessive force given the situation.
A likely outcome, if she hires representation, is that she files civil action against the department & the officer and they reach an agreement where her criminal charges are reduced.
