I like the basketball video that has been shown at football and basketball games that includes Pete Taylor narration of past player highlights, current team players walking onto the court, and finally GMac. The video ends with the words "Feel the Magic".
I think it would be great if the crowd shouted the phrase "Feel the Magic" when it is appears on the new video board. Can you imagine how intimidating that might be to a visiting Big XII team when a full house in Hilton shouts "Feel the Magic" in unison during a time-out. Not only are the visitors away from home in a hostile environment. They are also reminded that they up against a force that has felled many in the past and is likely to soon take their team as another victim.
Is there a good way to get this started? Cyclone Alley was strong the first two games. If they start doing it, I think the crowd might catch onto it.
I also think "Feel the Magic" cheers could be done just the same as I-S-U or Cyclone-Power cheers are being done now. I think the time to start this chant would be following the school song when the team comes out of the locker-room for the final warm-up before the horn sounds prior to player intros.
Any thoughts about this?
