When was this? Who were the players? I've been around here for years and while I can remember it happening, it didn't seem that common. I'd guess there are about 100x the amount of "I was scared to open this" posts than actual threads with players decommitting.

Ok- not just decommitments; losing players due to trouble with the law, academic failure, injury, etc. I'm not gonna go back through the archives and find everything, but the first two instances that come to mind are losing a juco DE to freaking Arkansas State, and losing a starting right guard because he didn't qualify academically. Both under Rhoads.

Went up more when Dekkers got his ratings bump—then dropped again when another specialist committed.

A long snapper plus a kicker in the same year will really bring down your team score. Are we the only school that uses scholarships on both of those positions? If there are others, I suspect they are few.

EDIT: In the Big 12, ISU, OSU and TTU have scholarship long snappers. So, more than I would have guessed.

Long snappers are not scholarship worthy until the first snap is low or high and bad things happen....lol.
