Well not to be a snob, but I'm a little disappointed in this list. Since 16 of the top 20 beers in the Midwest according to BeerAdvocate hail from the Twin Cities, including the top 5, you should hop in the car and drive 3 hours and enjoy a better brew. Top Beers - Midwest (US) - BeerAdvocate
I have heard good things about Peachtree, I've got to give them a try. The best beer brewed in Iowa I've had bar none is Hub City's Midnight Express. I'd LOVE it if the standards and palates across the state were upped!!!

I came across this small brewery in eastern Missouri when traveling that had a nice assortment of craft beers. My favorite was this obscure mix with a splash of fruit. Check it out!
Seriously though, I like IPA's and wheat beers, just depends on how I feel at the time.
You forgot to tell us one critical piece of information. Where is your family's bar?

That is the issue with craft beer on tap at times. It doesn't always provide the best margins for bar owners. Costs of kegs are high and with the high alcohol content, people can drink as much.
As mentioned above, this is why there is a trend of creating craft session beers starting.
Cedar Rapids...right by Coe College. We are Cyclone friendly and show all the games on tv that are on tv. For away games you can usually find those family members who did not travel, up at the bar.
You guys are listing some fantastic brews. Some of them we have had on tap at one point or another. We had New Belgiums La Folie which is their Sour Brown and is fantastic. My uncle is huge on New Belgium. If it's distributed in Iowa, it's been on tap at some point. Here are some others:

Boulder Beer Co Hazed and Infused, Mojo IPA, Mojo Risin

By far my favorite is the "New Glarus" line of beers out of New Glarus, WI. The most popular would be Spotted Cow. The only thing is that I don't think they will sell outside the state of WI. They tried to expand into the Chicago area because of their popularity in WI, but gave up due to politics of selling beer in Chicago.
Another fun beer is Finnegan's Irish Ale. It is the only non-profit brew in the country. It's made in Minneapolis, MN. I like it a lot and the fact that the profits go to charity make you feel good about drinking it too.
Old Chicago in Ankeny for sure, Merle Hay (last I checked), probably Red Monk, Bait Shop.
