I probably watch Tyrus' senior year highlight tape once a year just to remember how good of a shooter he truly was. The difficulty level for a lot of these are insane and he made it look effortless.

I thought it wasI'm pretty sure he started the entire 99-00 year.
Stevie is one of my favorite players but I wouldn't call him a 6th man as he only came off the bench 17 out of almost 100 games he played his final 3 years at Iowa State.
There was a great article about glue guys in SI right before the NCAA tournament in 2000. They called Stevie the perfect glue guy.
I'll see if I can find it...
EDIT: Found it...

Twenty seconds remained to be played, St. John's led Rutgers bythree, and the Red Storm's season lay in the balance. Theproblem was where the ball lay--in thevault.si.com
I dont think Rancik started, I'm about 99% sure Stevie started every game.I thought it was
Fizer
Nurse
Tinsley
Horton
Rancik
I pulled out my media guide and Johnson did start. I would take a Stevie every day of the week!I dont think Rancik started, I'm about 99% sure Stevie started every game.
Yeah, he was a beast his Senior year, then didn't he play linebacker for a year or two after his basketball eligibility was up?I pulled out my media guide and Johnson did start. I would take a Stevie every day of the week!
Tyrus McGee was perfect in the role of 6 man. Electric 3 pt shooter.McGee
I'll take Cujo over McGee.
I think McGee was a better perimeter shooter but I think Curtis does more overall.
It wouldn't surprise me if he said that to TJ. Every interview with Curtis Jones shows he's a total team guy that's mature and thrives coming in off the bench and gunning shots down immediately. I love that he's not afraid to shoot the 25'+ three's and he makes them at such a high percentage that it doesn't make fans scratch their heads. I'm pretty sure that TJ is smart enough to understand that the immediate energy Jones provides makes him better coming off the bench. He still gets starter minutes (he plays the second most minutes per game, only 2 behind Gilbert) so it's not like he's playing 15-20 minutes a game.Because I'm old, I usually vote for a Cyclone from the past when these questions are posed.
But Curtis Jones does so much for this team, now for a 2nd season. Not only provides instant offense, but shoots a high %, handles the ball, rebounds, and is an excellent defender.
I gotta believe that after TJ started him in the 1st game this year, Cujo told TJ to put Milan back into the starting lineup. He's unselfish and is a perfect example of the phrase, It doesn't matter who starts. It's who finishes.
Stevie Johnson was a freak athlete. Love him!Stevie is one of my favorite players but I wouldn't call him a 6th man as he only came off the bench 17 out of almost 100 games he played his final 3 years at Iowa State.

Yes he did - at least for a year. Always rumors about him and Tracy Gahan.Yeah, he was a beast his Senior year, then didn't he play linebacker for a year or two after his basketball eligibility was up?
Hogue gets the Best Flying Sidekick award.Hogue started I think every game both seasons.
It sorta seems like he was off-the-bench for a while, but apparently now. (Similar feeling I had about Chris Babb, but he pretty much was in starting unit).
Edit: Nader could qualify as 6th role in 2014-15, but his impact wasn't significant stat-wise, on consistent basis, if I recall.
I'd be a bit surprised if the rumors about him and Tracy were true. She is married to a woman.Yes he did - at least for a year. Always rumors about him and Tracy Gahan.
Correct, now. But I think she had a dude fiancée at the time if I remember correctly...I'd be a bit surprised if the rumors about him and Tracy were true. She is married to a woman.
