F1 2025 Discussion

So they have 3 weeks off then race 2 straight and then take another 4 weeks off? The 3 weeks off right now is different than in the past correct?

Must have been a contract thing because Horner is still employed at Red bull. Just not in the same position. Kind of a weird situation. Guessing they would have owed him a lot more money or something if they just fired him outright.

Yeah kind of strange how long the breaks are at this point in the year. This is not the normal summer break they take.

In the video where he takes to the staff he says he is still employed by Red Bull but says nothing about what capacity.

Weird, I don't remember if Newey was still technically employed by RB in that buffer time between the announcement he was leaving and before he could start work at Aston.

He had to have a mandatory "gardening leave" which is: a period of paid time off imposed on key personnel when they move from one team to another. This is done to prevent them from immediately sharing confidential information about their former team's car development with their new employer. The duration of gardening leave can vary, but it's typically around 6 to 18 months, effectively keeping them away from F1 competition for about a year

Anyone have issues watching the sprint quali? Nothing recorded on YouTubeTV. Went to the ESPN app and it’s showing below. The ESPN3 link is in Spanish and ESPN deportes is “unavailable”.

I watched live on ESPN News or U, don’t remember which one it was on. I was surprised it wasn’t on regular or 2. Anyway, it cut out during SQ3, then came back in Spanish a few seconds later. Other than that few second blip, everything else seemed fine.

The English feed on ESPN is most definitely all in Spanish. It’s weird nothing recorded on YouTubeTV too. The only recent recording is Practice 1.

Qualifying:

1. Norris
2. Piastri
3. LeClerc
4. Verstappen
5. Albon
