I've seen some reports that Aston is throwing tons of money at aero guys right now. Maybe they gave up on Newey and that freed up some cash

Yuki will be better in about three years when he calms down. He’s excellent now but he will hit his full potential in a few years

He's got to keep all their options open with as bad as Sergio is right now.

Can't remember who reported it so take this FWIW but supposedly the performance goals were to stay within 100 pts of Max and within 5 spots of him in the drivers. Right now he's 137 points back and 6th place.
