F1 2024 Discussion

Had there been any rumblings at all about Toyota getting back into the sport? Seems out of nowhere.

I like that Haas is trying to gain an advantage by trying something different. Clearly they will never compete doing the same as everyone else. This will either be a big fail or a giant win

Can it get worse? Good move

Haas domination may bore people.

Seriously though, this can only be positive for Haas, they're investing in the team, FINALLY (THANK YOU AYAO).

Gotta wonder if Hulk is like hmmm... maybe I could have stayed instead of driving an absolute shitbox next year. I get it, Audi is taking over, but still.

Heavy rumors that bottlas didn’t sign with Audi and they are looking at Mich Schoemacher. That is interesting

Finally race week again. Two triple headers to close out the season, COTA, Mexico, Brazil, and then Vegas, Qatar, Abu Dabi. Obviously some American bias but this is one of my favorite stretches of the season.

Max - 331 pts
Lando - 279 pts

McLaren - 516
Red Bull - 475
Ferrari - 441

Doesn't really matter but honestly I'd rather they just gave the fastest lap point to whoever gets the fastest lap regardless of if they're in the top 10. Feels weird for a team in 19th to throw on softs on the last lap to get fastest lap when they don't even get the point.

Hard to react to much to FP1 but in sprint weekends it's important. Will be interesting to see if Ferrari is really carrying forward their improvements in pace. That's obviously a huge deal for Lando if McLaren can stay up front, but some other cars can take a few more points off of Max behind him. Ferrari might be the team who can do that.

Also, interested to see how Max's qualifying pace is. I totally believe Red Bull that they weren't adjusting ride height illegally in parc ferme for qualifying. They definitely are trustworthy when they say they weren't doing that. Even though they had to come out and admit they were the only team that could potentially do that within the design of their car and they now have to have special seals placed on the components that would facilitate them doing so.
