Eustachy to Oregon State?

Yeah, the fact that he was fired just as his best recruiting classes were starting to roll in means absolutely nothing.

How do you explain ONE NCAA tournament appearance in 15 years of coaching (excluding 2 years of Fizer/Tinsley)?

6 Conference titles in 17 years is how you explain it. How many other coaches out there can say the same.

You don't make the tourney at Idaho and Utah St unless you win the conference tourney, which obviously is a crap shoot. ISU has won 2 conference tourneys in forever, but made the NCCA tourney as an at large all those other years.

It doesn't make sense to just talk about NCAA appearances, when half you career is spent with schools that have not shot at the NCAA's w/o winning your league tourney. Conference titles stick around forever.

The guy can coach, at least give him that. S. Miss has won 19 and 20 games the last two years. They were 7-3 in their last 10 games, with two of those losses to Memphis and made the semi-finals of the tourney. It seems like they are headed in the right direction. They were bad when he took over. And yes I know that C-USA is not what it used to be, but it is still a solid league.
