So I opened the ESPN website today and on the front page it has Thomas and the headline reads "With its seasn on the brink ISU blah blah blah..." I didn't think our season was on the brink. I think we are in a good spot right now. Damn ESPN creating unnecessary hype.

I agreed when I opened it up, I think our season would not have been crippled with a 5th loss, lol. However, we now have a reasonable chance to climb the ladder up the big XII, I'd say as good a chance as anyone to finish 2nd, or T2 with Texas/OU. Without that one last night, it would have been harder, so for our ultimate NCAA goal, whatever that is, last night was huge for us. But season on the brink? That's just silly.

Well I guess it was the brink of losing a chance for a 1 or 2 seed. I would think 5 losses keeps us in the running for everything else.

Quit whining, were on the front page of ESPN, after a huge win.

We really find things to complain about, dont we?

ESPN needs to have attention grabbing articles and storylines, obviously our season wasn't on the brink, but that may grab a few readers. Just enjoy the fact that we are on the frontpage.

The last time we were on the frontpage? Also a 3OT win vs OSU!

We`ve got such an amazing program that at ISU, 16-4 a season on the brink. A compliment from ESPN.

When I opened it this morning there was a front page blurb about ISU's stunning triple overtime win against.... the Sooners.

No lie.

Well, we did beat the whole state of Oklahoma in the span of 2 days. So they were sorta right.

I would say that, if we didn't win last night, it could be said, "who did they beat away from Hilton" (other than the conf. tourney). No road games left on the schedule against ranked teams.

If you JUST look at the conference record, it would look like that if we dropped the game. I highly doubt they looked at the schedule and saw most of our daunting conference schedule is done already. They probably just looked at the records, knew the Big 12 is tough, and assumed it would be a tough ride if we dropped this one.
