ESPN Article Questioning ISU's CFP

I'm so sick of this ****ing argument already. We 200,000% should want to be in the CFP. Ask Pollard, Campbell, the players, former players, player's parents, BXII conference office, the ISU AD treasurer, etc if they would like to go to the CFP against Alabama and the answer will be a resounding yes.

I just don't even begin to understand why a few on our fanbase would want otherwise. There would be a whole couple of weeks of media coverage dedicated to the 4 teams in the playoffs, stories about CMC, Jack Trice, Purdy, Hall, Kolar, etc. It would be glorious!

Back in 2015 when 10M people watched Alabama roll over Michigan St 38-0, it didn't damage MSU's reputation - people generally recognized that Alabama was just on another plane of existence. Losing to someone superior to you doesn't damage your reputation; it just means you lost to someone superior to you.
We would be treated worse in the media because of our history and the perception of our conference. Anyways, I've put all my thoughts out there. I hope you're right.

This year having 16 would be interesting be of the lack of non-conference and vastly different schedules but I think a normal year 8 makes sense with auto bids for p5 champs, highest G5, and then wild card spots for final two.
8 would be awesome

It would be a minor annoyance for fans. It would not damage the program at all.

I would stop complaining at 8. It would be nice if they had a real procedure for selecting those 8 rather than a committee with no defined criteria though.
Mine would be only conference champs. It wouldn't be the right "best" teams, but if you can't win your conference why should you be national champion? Plus putting three G5 teams at the expense of SEC and Big 10 might help with parody.

Don't take this the wrong way, I just see the wrong word used for this more than the right word on this site. The word is "parity". "Parody" is when you are imitating something for comedic effect.

Just thought you would want to know.

Hey more people are taking about ISU! The more coaches and players hear about us the better. It will be easy for cmc to use this as a recruiting tool. Five star culture vs five star players. We have lots of National attention right now

Dude, don't make OnlyCyclones the escape goat here. I get it you don't want him to get off scotch free but its really a mute point anyway. Your never going to nip this problem in the butt on this board, its to deep-seeded.

I'm willing to let it slide for now, since ISU has earned a birth in the Big 12 title game.
