Ejim Rebounds per 40 minutes

Per Ken Pomeroy Ejim is 71st in offensive rebounding % and 25th in defensive rebounding % in the NCAA.

I may be in the minority, but Ejim has been one of my favorite ISU players in a long time. He plays with heart and I'm a huge fan of that.

Ejim is great, except he tends to disappear for some games. Hope this is the year he stays consistent from game to game.

Melvin is the man. He was one of few guys helping DG his freshman season. Glad to see his hard work is paying off with some more recognition. Kid works hard and plays the game right. ISU fans are great at recognizing solid hoop with then see it.

I agree with you. He can disappear from time to time. Other times, I notice he is quietly getting points and boards as he isn't too flashy. Last year he played an outstanding defensive game vs KU at home and I was sold on this kid. As a huge bonus, he is an excellent student and all of these things help make him one of my favorite players in the last 15 years. I also really like Niang and I look forward to his development! Keep it up Ejim!!!

Was going to post a thread on this, but will just add it here. Found a nice article on Melvin on his time at ISU so far. Great to see this kind of recognition to along with Big XII Player of the Week honors. Really glad the guy is a Cyclone.

I like the fact that he is making lots of really smart, decisive plays. In the past, it seems that he has made some bonehead plays at the ends of games in key situations. This year, he seems much more like a "go to" guy in those situations.

Ejim is probably my favorite player, he is just solid (seems like every game he is right around that double double) and will only continue to improve. I wonder what the record for most double doubles is at ISU, does Melvin have a chance at breaking it when all said and done?

The record is 54.

Melvin has 11. Figure he has about 55 games left over the next year and a half. He'd have to get a double-double 80% of the time to break the record.
