EA Sports NCAA Football game

It took me til the second or third day to realize they flipped what holding X does for read option. Every time I run it now I have to tell myself “Crash=X” otherwise I’ll revert to the old way every time
Im definitely still not used to it yet, especially the timing. There have been quite a few instances where I make the read and push the button to keep but the ball gets handed off anyway (presumably I'm too late).

So I think I've figured out that part of my defensive issues are related to stick drift with my right thumb stick. It appears to be minor enough that I had never noticed it, but there have been multiple instances the last couple times I've played where as soon as the ball is snapped my player switched from the linebacker to a safety without any input from me. I guess a new controller may be in store.

You might also have defense assist on which changes to the player nearest the ball automatically to make a play

If you want really hard: Kennesaw State, South Alabama, Jacksonville State

If you want spicy, fun underdogs: App State, Tulane, James Madison, Navy
I can confirm South Alabama is tough as ****.

Or I really don't know what I'm doing.

I haven't been able to recruit for ****. Heading into year 5 at South Alabama, and I have 45 players on my roster. I don't have enough players to be 2 deep at every position. I have two wide receivers on the roster.

Quite the feat I've accomplished if you really think about it.

Sounds like EA will be releasing a patch to fix issues with recruiting and sim logic. Haven't read all of the details, but that's encouraging

Went 9-3 on the year, missed out on the big 12 championship due to going 6-3 in big 12. Kansas st makes it at 7-3 over me even though beating them last game.. WOW

There's definitely some goofy things they have set up on the back end that doesn't make sense. Halfway through a season there were four Notre Dame centers in the running for the best center award and two were redshirting. I'm hoping they clean up some of the logic across the board just for a little more realism.
My first year as ISU I had 4 of the top 5 for the best db award

Abu Sama came back from his year long absence from a torn pec, lasted 5 games and has a compound fracture in his foot so he’s out like 14 more weeks.

Losing your best player stiiiiiiinks.

His toughness must be fairly low. I haven't started a dynasty yet but have played a handful of play now games and every game he has been in the high risk for injury before the end of the 3rd quarter, and he has gotten injured in half of them.

I use my Xbox for YouTube TV and noticed when I turned it on this morning that it was updating. Will be interested in what the update does.

I will say not entirely sure if I have my settings all figured out. Can’t tell if I have it to easy or if my team is just that much better in the Sun Belt.

So I was bored at work yesterday and reading up on some recruiting tips. 90% of it was garbage, a lot of stuff starting with "Now 5 star recruits are better than 4 star recruits, but they are harder to get.....visits are when a player comes to a game"

The one tip I read that I'm trying out on year 3 was in week 1 go after the obvious guys that are interested in you. But after week 1 go through some of the top players and recruit any that didn't have any movement in their interest bars. I'm only in week 4 but I found 5 5 stars that fit that, and of them I have a huge lead on one, and a good lead on the other. Neither had me in their top 10 week 1. Might have overshoot by going after 5 stars this way instead of 4 stars, but we'll see.

I must not have some setting right in my dynasty for recruiting. After going through the preseason I never have any hours to recruit after that. After it advances to the next week it always has the recruiting option marked as completed. I must be getting old…any ideas on what setting I’ve overlooked? (I thought I turned off AI assist)

The hours you spend per week stays the same if the recruits remain uncommitted or you don't change it.

I had the same issue, I was super confused by that.

Ok, another dumb question...how do I change things, just take "off" something already allotted?

I started a new dynasty as Ball State, one of the worst programs in the game and I have like 350 recruiting hours per week which is a massive change for me.

I'm concentrating on 3 star recruits, and as soon as they get another offer I just ditch them and find some other uncommitted 3 star to throw everything at.

When you open up the recruiting tab under the prospect, instead of "add action" or whatever that is, tap down to where you have "Bring the House" or whatever, then you need to hold Y or something to remove the hours allotted to that activity.

Trust me I spent like an hour finding this out when I finally did.

Wow, that's a big difference. I'm pretty sure ISU has 600. Is that a prestige thing that decides that?

Not sure, but getting anybody at this point is kind of tough. I think I'm going to end up with a lot of 1 star prospects.
