Dumbest Reality Show Concepts

I just saw back to back ads for the Masked Singer and We Are Family, the competition where a panel of judges need to guess who the famous relative of a singing contestant might be, and I'm beginning to wonder if this reality/music competition bender the networks have been on for the last few years has played itself out.

Are there any dumber reality show concepts than these?

I am intrigued by the FOX gameshow (I think it's called The Grid maybe) where players compete in a trivia contest for the ground won on the floor by other contestants. Like the College Football Empire maps you see every fall. That has potential.

There was one where celebrities trained to ride bulls.

They all got hurt and couldn't go the full season iirc.

Dumb idea and dumb to even sign up for a show that dangerous

"Naked and Afraid" is pretty dumb, since they have to pixelize everybody's hoo-ha's and naughty bits.

The contestants might be naked, but it's the Discovery Channel that's camera.
I have never watched, but love the commercial where they are staring through a bush to see what is on the side. Suprise it is a camera.

It looks kinda fun. I'll probably give it a watch since I'm a sucker for trivia shows that don't require any commitment.

But like you said, it's a game show versus a reality show. One is definitely better than the other.

Not sure how anyone can watch junk like the Masked Singer

Commercial for the Masked Singer, Ken Jeong says emotionally "Thank you for enriching our lives"
You know, I thought I heard that today while I was doing something else and thought to myself, “Nah, no way he just said that about that dumb ass TV show.”

I thought the same thing until I heard it the second time.

Actually, I don't mind "The Masked Singer," in small amounts, but I'm not motivated to follow it consistently until a winner is declared.

I guess that goes for most reality programs.

The dumbest one, by far, is the new Bear Grylls show, where contestants have to eat disgusting stuff to ... I don't know ... survive? On a television set? Barmagedon is pretty ridiculous too, but at least they know it.

I prefer to watch the XL seasons as they are 40 or more days depending on the challenge. Lot more dynamics too when there are more than just 2 people as it's a lot tougher to make it to the end with the longer challenge and having to work with multiple people that have different ways of doing things. I find it interesting as doubt an average person would last long in a true survival situation like that.
