I thought that was what the tip top was. Maybe I am wrong, but there was one there in mid 90s that I was along for the ride with. Looked like a crap hole.wasn't there a topless joint in downtown Ames back in the 80's?

It’s so much better than it used to be and compared to so many DTs that have dried off. I’ve brought a few people there the last couple of years and they have all really liked it and been impressed, calling it “very cute”.I think downtown Ames is pretty nice given how downtowns tend to struggle. They have a good variety of stores, bakeries, bars, and restaurants. They also seem to host a lot of events on Main Street.
Keeping the ladies for yourself?Dallas Club. Dangerous Curves now. DON'T GO
Cambridge. Chris's Go Go.IIRC, there was another strip club south of Ames in Huxley, maybe? Appropriately off Highway 69.
But do you buy anything? This. That place is amazing. So many unique pieces. I stop there every time I'm in the doghouse with @Angie (3-4 times per month)

No thank you.I am really glad to see that any angst relative to this segment has been directed towards Williams. I don't think I have ever been to 'downtown' Ames...which I will, the next time I come to that fair city.
Ames downtown is not without its flaws but if you look at it compared to your average Iowa Main Street districts (taking out the university factor) its actually pretty decent and much improved. Hence the point of this thread.I am really glad to see that any angst relative to this segment has been directed towards Williams. I don't think I have ever been to 'downtown' Ames...which I will, the next time I come to that fair city.
