Douglas in trouble again

On another note, there are some rumors out there that a certain defensive back (maybe 2?) is going to have some very serious charges brought down as well. Rumors have been out there for awhile which makes me wonder why nothing has been done but if true, they will be the worst charges yet.

Inquiring minds want to know - who was the moneygram received from? Quite possibly legit mad money from back home, but ........

attorney bills can climb fast & we were led to believe that funds were scarce from the home front.

I find it hard to be emberassed by someones actions that has absolutely nothing to do with me. If you are prone to that, you are going to be emberassed all the time. If you say that because they are representing the state of Iowa, wrong again because most of the trouble makers were never in Iowa before they came to play football, and I would guess there is not enough crime and fellow trouble makers that they will be able to blend in after their football careers are over. I doubt they will show their face in Iowa again after the graduate(ya right), leave early for the NFL(their best possible chance, but slim), or get kicked off the team. Does that mean we stoop to the hawk fans level(prehistoric caveman) and taunt them repeatedly so it makes our sucky team look better?????? No, but if your like me, you enjoy this purely because of the fact that mr. hawk fan is spending so much time crying because his team isn't going to be the BCS champs AGAIN and wondering in his quiet times why the football gods are being so cruel to their chosen football team that they shut up about putting everyone else down to make themselves feel better.

The silence is cool right now..........I mean....I am sure you all know that Hawk fans can't fart because they never shut their mouths long enough to build up any pressure. Now that they are quiet and the digestive system starts to work properly, they now know what the crap they usually are spewing from their mouths smells like after eating the bigaz burritto with tons of refried beans on it.....

Think about that one my friends....

I'm not by any means embarrassed about this but I'm not going to gloat to Iowa fans about it either.

If anything, my Hawk friends and I find a common ground here and just laugh at the stupidity of some of these players. Both Iowa and ISU have had their off-the-court/field problems.

since i was the one who originally posted this right after it happened, i would like to see the title changed to confirmed. like i pointed out in a previous post, the iowa city authorties and the u of i kept this a secret for as long as they possibly could.

I don't relish these guys getting in trouble, but am a little miffed when Ferentz keeps these guys around well after they should be gone.

IOWA= Idiots On-scholarship While Arrested

Here's what's wrong with your comment:

What, in the world, makes you think that EIU fans would be any less ugly about a similar situation at ISU whether or not we were taunting them over the current issue?

You have got to learn that no matter how civil you try to be with an EIU fan, that he/she will NEVER return the favor. In fact, you could even reach out and try to make a comment about this problem happening at other institutions and the EIU fan would turn it around and find some way to insult you and ISU.

I could care less about the situation at EIU. Plus, I would rather take the "high road" and decline taunting. But, you absolutely cannot base your decision on the idea that you are somehow avoiding future "ugly" behavior by EIU fans. Really, put that idea completely out of your head right now and simply expect that EIU fans will find every possible way to insult you at every possible opportunity. It's just who they are.

This may be one of the worst posts I've read in a long time. I'm sorry, I've tried staying out of this thread, because, quite frankly, I have nothing to defend the program with. there are a lot of things going down that are not good, and it isn't defensable.

That being said, most posters on this board, and most people that can rub two brain cells together would realize that an "EIU" fan isn't a separate species, or a different kind of person. The fact that you think Iowa fans and ISU fans are completely different really speaks volumes for you knowledge of the state of Iowa, and the two fan bases.

We're all Iowans. Sure, the people in the farther eastern half have a "Chicago complex", but that's a small minority. The vast majority of Iowa fans are spread out around the state, and are nothing like the easterners.

That's all I have to say here, but I felt that this post just couldn't be left without a reply.

That's BS right there. Your casual hawk fan are decent to deal with but most people who are diehard Iowa fans have the "We are superior" complex. Listen to the radio in DM, watch Soundoff, read message boards, etc and you will easily figure that out. These outlets are where the diehards show up and your superiority complex is freaking obvious.

If that's the game you want to play, by reading message boards and listening to the radio, it would seem like a lot of Clone fans have a major inferiority complex. But as I said, it's a minority.

I wouldn't disagree with that. Just like I wouldn't disagree with the "Chicago complex" or "superiority complex" from Iowa fans. Both are very true IMO.

I don't understand this paragraph. What is the "Chicago complex"?

If you've been to eastern Iowa and Chicago, you'd know. Most of the people in eastern Iowa are either from Chicago, or do a lot of things related to Chicago - and in turn they act like Chicago-ans.

And if you know any Chicago-ans, they aren't exactly the friendliest bunch.

Ya, the Iowa fanbase is a strange mix of people.

45% white trash and drunks that hang out in "towny" bars.
40% normal reasonable people
15% Chicago-ans
