Dominykas Pleta Commits

Omaha was not a guy in his 20s already playing professionally.

You are vastly overestimating the professional level this guy is getting his minutes at.

The current leading scorer in the league used to play as a role player for UC Santa Barbara.

I'm just curious why everybody thinks CJ is done?
Because he's played 4 years of d-1 basketball. I'd be very surprised if he's given another year.

I'm curious why there isn't more confidence in Nojus. He's got great size, has demonstrated he can handle the ball (as an off-guard or 3), and was highly recruited, based partly on being a very good shooter. I know he hasn't lit it up in games this season, but it's tough to have rhythm playing the final 2 minutes after a blowout. I do think he'll need to get better defensively, but I think he'll be ready to contribute offensively.

He's not even getting spot minutes this year, not sure how you could have any confidence...

Sitting here thinking and scratching my head. Pretty sure the team next year is already loaded down with people that can shoot the 3. And what would you look for in the portal?

5: Jackson- Rock
4: Jefferson- Pleta- Watson
3: Milan- Xzavion- Heise
2: Batemon- Toure- Nojus
1: Tamin- Macari- Kelderman
Does Jackson have any eligibility left? I thought he and Gilbert were done after this year.

For me personally, I'll be excited when he says he's back. Underclassmen who play sparingly don't usually stick around. I don't have any actual reason to think he won't stick around, but it's hard not to be a little uneasy about the long-term prospects of someone who doesn't play in today's climate.

I think it will be time next year for Rock to start playing 10-15 minutes of productive basketball, if not he should transfer down to get the experience.
If another transfer center is recruited, that should be an indication of what the staff thinks of Rock’s development.

He played against Auburn, Dayton, and Marquette so TJ obviously saw something early. If he's good enough for that then he's good enough to get more minutes next year.
Is the contention he’ll get minutes, or that he’ll be ready for a major role in replacing two all-conference level guards?
