So someone can, yes.So they can sit on the bench the whole season?

I believe the ratio of opportunities between M&W has to reflect the ratio of M&W in the student body.2 questions:
1. As far as NIL goes for foreign players, there are different rules though, correct? Wouldn’t their F-1 visa limit things? Active earnings vs Passive earnings?
2. Is the scholarship count exactly even between the men and women sports at ISU? I know it has to be at least equal, I just didn’t know if women had more scholarships or if it was just spread out differently.
Sitting here thinking and scratching my head. Pretty sure the team next year is already loaded down with people that can shoot the 3. And what would you look for in the portal? If Rock stays its because he can be next years Chatfield, otherwise he should transfer down. If Jones is not back the big need will be more shooting and ball handling. They are losing a lot of scoring and can never have enough 3pt shooters as we saw with Mom out
The only comparison is they're both from Europe.Someone else was comparing him to tsalmporis. Even if the kid is not as good as we think we can take a flyer and miss.
Dammit, ASU. You had one job...
Just not sold on Pleta being an instant impact guy. I guess only time will tell.
I turned it on for a few minutes but ASU promptly went from up 3 or 4 to down like 6 so I switched away. I told Mrs. Velo that we could really use an ASU win there but I seemed to be hurting them by watching.I stayed up for it. The ending could have been better, but it was a really fun game to watch
Nobody really knows until Pieta gets on campus but I really doubt a 20 y/o would leave a pro team in Europe without the expectations he'll be a immediate contributor.
Staff isn't taking a flyer to fill a scholarship right now and Pieta is moving to a new country to sit and develop.
I agree, he would be a great sub for Jefferson. Looks like Milan but more athletic with a better handle.I don't think so. Instead of Pleta, I think TJ goes with another guard: either Cujo (if he stays), freshman Batemon, or somebody new from the portal. The rest of your starting lineup I agree with.

I think a Chatfield replacement will be needed to rest Jackson & Jefferson. Jefferson can play for Jackson when he's on the bench, but Jefferson needs to rest as well. Pleta isn't quite big enough to sub for Jackson.Nailed it, except I think that shooter is already on the team. Nojus is my pick for that 2nd guard spot. Heise and Batemon will compete for it as well. The biggest question mark will be how well they play defense.
Rock, Watson and Pleta will compete for Chatfield minutes. Obviously all 3 of those dudes are not Chatfield but they'd each bring something different. Consistent rebounding and defense wins minutes.
If there is an extra roster spot it'll be very interesting to see if we go after an older big or a guard like CuJo.
I think it will be time next year for Rock to start playing 10-15 minutes of productive basketball, if not he should transfer down to get the experience.I agree, he would be a great sub for Jefferson. Looks like Milan but more athletic with a better handle.

A guy who already plays in the pros ain't suffering through geometry class to ride the bench.Nobody really knows until Pieta gets on campus but I really doubt a 20 y/o would leave a pro team in Europe without the expectations he'll be a immediate contributor.

I had to turn it off when it went to OT. TTU got 5 ORBs in the last 5 minutes. They were pushing off to get the rebounds (no call) then they were getting questionable and1 foul calls on the putbacks. Double whammy from the refs.I turned it on for a few minutes but ASU promptly went from up 3 or 4 to down like 6 so I switched away. I told Mrs. Velo that we could really use an ASU win there but I seemed to be hurting them by watching.
He has defined muscles and dunks on people.Dies he seem like a player the little hawks would recruit? Idk.
He honestly reminds me of a guy who'd be playing at an Arizona, Gonzaga, or Michigan. Foreign born, tall, athletic and can stretch the floor a bit.He has defined muscles and dunks on people.
So no.

5: Jackson- Rock
4: Jefferson- Pleta- Watson
3: Milan- Xzavion- Heise
2: Batemon- Toure- Nojus
1: Tamin- Macari- Kelderman
Hopefully he’s a little better than Hans Brase![]()
It's too much youth, that's what it is. I'm all in on Nojus, I think he's going to be a very good player for us but is stuck behind a lot of talent and seniority this year. He's a sniper. Batemon is being heralded as the best HS 3pt shooter in the entire country. Those aren't my words, but, he'll be a freshman so it's hard to count on that transitioning right away. Tamin is shooting with a broken thumb, so I'll cut him some slack. That’s as likely to be a poor shooting team as it is one that is “loaded” with people that can shoot (make) 3Ps
We need more than Milan. Particularly if Milan is not a plus in defense and rebounding
Is Tamin a sure plus shooter ? Is Heise? Maybe
Is Jefferson? He’s at 28% this year
Is Watson? Not yet
Jackson isn’t. Pleta isn’t supposed to be.
That leaves the freshmen. Some may be acclaimed as such from high school performance, but even Milan, a legitimately talented shooter, shot under 30% in conference play as a freshman
