Really like that TJ continues to recruit. In the NIL era a coach can't be 100% that any player with eligibility will return. There is just:
  1. Too much NIL money floating around
  2. Schools looking to make a statement
  3. Blue bloods looking to recapture their glory
  4. Internally coaches come to an agreement with the bottom 4-5 kids on their roster whether they have a future or need to move on.

I have minimal knowledge of how the German leagues and levels work, but he's currently on the roster of MHP Reisen Ludwigsburg, which has a bunch of older guys and former US college players on their roster. Definitely good competition to go against in practice.

The highlights appear to be from when he played on Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg, which looks to be a lower level (it looks like he may play on both teams simultaneously, maybe like being a JV starter that gets a few minutes on varsity).

Here are his stats from the various leagues. Looks like he dominated on the Porsche team, averaging 20 & 9. He's playing a just a few minutes a game on the MHP Reisen team.

Excited about this guy after seeing his highlights. In addition to size/athleticism, looks like he has the potential to be a decent shooter for a big guy (has some seasons around 30-35% from three, and hits about 70% from the line).

Has this been confirmed by any media outlets associated with Iowa State?

Also, from anyone in the know, how good is this guy?

Knowing nothing about quality of competition he is playing against here... Looks like an good 4/small 5.

Michael Jacobson meets Jaz Kunc vibes
How convenient for us that he plays just like the last two white power forwards we've had lol (Not trying to be snooty, just always get a kick out of the ISU-only comps on here)

That being said, my initial judgment would be he does seem like a way more fluid and explosive athlete than either of those guys were that would let him slide more to a 3-4 kind of spot. Like a "shades of" Franz Wagner from Michigan/Orlando Magic where he's a bigger forward with the ball handling to initiate some offense or get downhill and finish/kick and the jumper being the hinge skill that if it clicks bumps him into really being something.

Not associated with Iowa State but this claims to have heard from his agent directly.

Just to tamper expectations a bit... he's primarily playing for the Porsche BBA (the B league) on a team that is 6-12. The majority of the league appears to be German guys aged 18-20 so he is playing against "like" competition and not high level former NCAA guys in most of the highlight videos posted.

He is putting up good numbers and the team appears to run through him. He's polished in the paint and seems to be a good athlete with some defensive positioning instincts.

Thank you for a rational take

Calling my shot. Starting lineup next year:

6'-1" Lipsey
6'-8" Momcilovic
6'-9" Jefferson
6'-9" Pleta
6'-11" Jackson
I don’t think JJ or Dom can play the 3.

I think ISU is portaling for a playmaking combo guard. And also going to play Nojus or some of the freshman meaningful minutes.

My guess is the starting 5 is
Lipsey
Transfer guard
Milan
Jefferson
Jackson

We should hope we don’t have to rely on a freshman to be a starter. They can be contributors but I think they need to go get another shooter like CuJo

I don’t like speculating on transfers but I don’t see Fish and Watson being on the roster. So we could have an open spot to go get a guy

Let's go. 6'9 Kid from Germany. Already 20 years old and has played on some good German teams.

I've seen this guy listed at 6-10 elsewhere. 6-10 just sounds better than 6-9, unless you're Larry Bird.

Kind of funny that you then compare him to a white power forward. ;)

Maybe Niang is a comp. Or Joshua Jefferson.

I’m guessing a different reason.
Look at Clon3’s post above. Guy is playing professionally in the second tier of German professional hoops. I think it’s a bit of a hot take that it was said he’s definitely the best player in the class. Batemon is a top 50 player that is an absolute sniper from deep

I hope a couple of the freshman earn minutes and are hard to keep off the floor.
