Dom Nelson - The Defibrillator

Most likely it's purely coincidence just because it is so bizarre. It's way fun to think there is something real about it though.

If not, here is my latest theory. It's kinda like a baseball pitcher who throws a fastball way high, to change the eye level of the hitter. Then the hitter lets a low strike go right past them.

Maybe Dom's style is just so different that it throws off the defense and the struggle to get back to their game plan.

Starting him or inserting him real early might not be a bad idea then if that's the case with messing up the other team's game plan.

Team's try to either double JJeff or suffocate Milan. If they're not prepared to deal with the bull, that makes his drives easier and gets JJeff opened up for a couple series afterwards too.
No, it's not always a positive experience. Should only go in if the offense is struggling.

Plus throw a back door alley oop to get the roof off Hilton early is always nice

I like the defibralator analogy. It could be that his spark wakes up our team or throws off the other team's defense, but we might be overthinking it. Maybe allowing Tamin and/or Toure a little break while still keeping pressure on their D helps to wear teams down. We all just saw what Tamin can do when he can concentrate all that effort into one half.

To be clear, I'm not saying we should give Tamin more rest. Or even that the Domfibrilator is anything more than anecdotal coincidence. Just throwing out a theory I hadn't seen posited yet to explain the unexplainable.

In case anyone is interested.

63 point pace before Dom went to the scorers table. 79 point pace before he got in the game. 115 point pace after he got to the scorers table. 99 point pace after he got on the floor. They should have subbed him out at the two minute mark.

Defibrillator effect resets at halftime.

Got by without The Defibrillator in the 2nd half. Started super hot but coulda used him at the 10 min mark. Probably didn't want to risk the defensive drop of and a delayed Defibrillator impact.

Dom was huge waking up the team. There’s something to be said for a guy coming in fresh that can attack the lane.

Would like to see both he and Batemon get some decent minutes.

Though my biggest hope is Heise getting some consistent offense going again like he did at the end of last season. Yes, he contributes a great deal without scoring, but the team is at a different level if he is contributing as a scorer.

Please maintain the proper decorum towards The Defibrilator / Leroy Jenkins in this thread.

Where did you read that?
It's an easy conclusion to jump to. It easy to think I am arguing that the offense is better with The Defibrillator on the court. Even TJ in his post game only brought up the times when Owa State went on a run with him on the court. The coaches haven't yet realized what they have.
