With all the guys we have returning, it seems its a very real possibility. I'm going to enjoy drinking the kool-aid this offseason!

I'm just going to enjoy what we had this year.
No idea. Still have to prove it on the field. We sure have the capability which is all the excitement I need.
It all depends on if we can have a good start to the season. That seems like the biggest hurdle the team will have to overcome.
Probably not. The list of teams that have made the playoffs since its inception is not a long list, and even shorter when talking about non-blue bloods.

I certainly think we have a chance at it, but a lot of things will need to go right for it to happen. My expectations for next season are to play for the Big 12 title game and be relevant as a national top 15 or top 10 team. Even that seems like amazingly high expectations for me from what I am used to as a lifelong Cyclone fan.

No, but I would settle for a Big 12 Title and a Sugar Bowl win vs Georgia or Florida.
I think the timing is perfect. Trevor Lawrence will be gone. Justin Fields will be gone. Bama loses a lot, granted they just reload. But, amongst the teams that will finish in the Top 10, who has more starters returning than us? Nobody. I think it's okay to dream big about next year. Bigger than just the playoffs, even. We will probably never have a greater team than next year's. Ever.
We could have a resume to get in but the talking heads will want OSU, Clemson, Bama, and take your pick between ND, OU, Georgia, LSU
The odds would be very slim.... but not impossible like they have been up until now.
This was easily the best ISU football team in program history and so fun to watch.... but still had enough glaring issues that will prevent us from making the playoffs if they aren't corrected that's for sure. We were far from a well oiled machine this year..... but that's exciting too because we still have quite a bit of room for improvement.

Nah, I do see Oklahoma being in it though.
I doubt we win twice vs OU. If things fall correctly, we might split with them. I'd love to see a rematch in the CCG with ISU winning the second round
I look at it from the perspective of why not. Sure it will be incredibly tough and I won’t be mad if we don’t get there but I think we should expect it as a reasonable possibility.
As others have posted...we have some things to prove. Can the team actually start the season looking like they’ve played the game before? Can they actually beat Iowa? Can they stop with the stupid mistakes that make them inconsistent from one game to the next?
Doubt it unless we go undefeated and lay the wood to almost every team.
Only way we’d get in is to be undefeated B12 champs. This year has reminded CFB fans that it’s a business and the committee is going to do what it can to get the biggest brands on the biggest stage- just the way it is.
