Going to Disney for Thanksgiving. Deadline to order fast passes is approaching. What event or attractions who those who have gone would you recommend?

This won't help. Never been there. Would like to go once. I know of 2 families that go every year. Every year. Of all the places to take a vacation, they go to the same exact place.

I'm assuming Disney World.

Toy Story Mania can be an abusively long wait without FastPass.

The new 7 Dwarves roller coaster in Magic Kingdom isn't worth burning a FastPass.

Also, Test Track in EPCOT can be super long without a FP

Enjoy! Are you staying on the resort?

Are you going to the AdvoCare Invitational as well? I will be going with the in-laws, but haven't been before. They have been a few times but I would also be looking for suggestions/tips from others. I know we will be staying in Epcot at the Swan Hotel for a couple of nights.

If you are staying on site it really changes your approach at Disney world. If magic kingdom, everyone seems to like space mountain. I liked the rides at the movie theater. Rock in' roller coaster, tower of terror, and one more that slips my mind. My Everest at animal kingdom.

Not sure how in depth advice you want but we bought THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO DISNEY WORLD. Great book and every word is true. Full of great hacks and tips to make trip much more enjoyable. Also points out all the little things Disney doescto get more of your money and waste your time.

This X 1000!

Here is their website: https://touringplans.com/

They'll tell you which rides to go on when, which require fastpass (and which do not). You can download their app and they'll monitor and report wait times of all the attractions so you spend the least amount of time waiting in lines as possible.

We go to Disney during off-season time and rely on this. You're going at extremely busy time so this is a MUST. Can't stress enough.

Might sounds crazy, but their "touring plans" really work!

Our touring plans are customizable step-by-step guides for seeing Disney World’s best attractions and minimizing your wait in line. These plans - and the amazing technology behind them - have been featured in the New York Times, Wired.com,USA Today, The San Francisco Chronicle, and many more news outlets. We even got a U.S. patent for the technology.
Our touring plans will save you up to 4 hours in line versus families without a plan.4 hours every day!

Cost is $12.95 but will be the best $13 bucks you'll spend on this trip.

Side trip to Kennedy Space Center.:)

We have been there with just toddlers once and with kids ranging in age from about 12-22 once. Toddlers loved it. When they ranged from 12-22, they would have rather gone to Cedar Point.

Our mistake when we just had toddlers was trying to follow that unofficial guide that we bought. Told us to go back to hotel and make them nap, Kids were too wound up to nap, hated it, made them grumpy. Ignored that the rest of the trip and they were good to go from about 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.and then hit the hotel pool. So I guess my advice is that what works for some kids doesn't work for others, so kind of play that part by ear.

When they were little, they loved the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, which I think they have closed. Also big fans of the Peter Pan ride when they were little. And the monorail.

And my kids liked the usual suspects, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Splash Mountain, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Haunted Mansion, Expedition Everest, Star Tours, Mission Space.

Yeah, this was probably my favorite ride at all of the parks, and I don't like roller coasters at all

As long as yoy know what to expect: crowds, expensive foods, etc then you'll be fine. That's always my stance: you know what you'll get into and adjust your expectations.

It depends what you want to do: do you want roller coaster type or do you want somehing else? Look at the map and plan your route.

I think space mountain has been closed now? I enjoy the classics like the Haunted House, Mickey's Philarmagic, etc.

Also totally agree with this. It's a bit of work to plan things out but well worth it IMHO. I hate waiting in the ride lines and these guys tell you all the tricks. A lot of the content on the website is free so you can take a look before subscribing.

We pulled the kids out of the fist week of school (lowest attendance week of the year at Disney). Never waited more than 10 minutes to ride any ride and never waited at all to get in any restaurant.
The book is full of simple tips like going to the back of the park first versus getting in the first line you come to. Or, the fact that they usually start letting people in 15-30 minutes before posted opening time.

Disney wants you to waste time getting lost and standing in line. That way you will spend more days on their property. Even their maps are bad so you lose time navigating.

Don't feed the alligators.

I haven't been to Disney World in quite some time but have done Disney Land a couple times in the last few years. Agree with the previous poster about the unofficial guide. Pretty interesting stuff in there and all kinds of things to take advantage of that aren't advertised or promoted as much.

After a spending the prior 4 days at all the other parks with the kids, I may have had way too much to drink at Epcot. I'll be damned if it wasn't a good time, though. Only word of advice is don't do that paragliding over California ride after you've drank at every country. Do it before.

Staying on resort lets you in early and stay late. We went early twice and hammered rides non stop. By the time it got busy, we had a couple left We wanted to hit and were content by noon.

Depends on who you are going with. Do you have young kids you need to cater to or can you do what you want to do? I have done both and if I was planning something there for myself or family around my age I would spend quite a bit of time at Epcot. Youll drink some expensive beer and eat some overpriced food, but I think it's the most fun of the parks.

Peter Pan ride. ALWAYS has long wait time. Use a Fast Pass on that one.

On a side note, At Disneyland in Anaheim, the CARS Racers ride is the best ride hands down.
