Disney World advice \ tips

Glad you had fun and like Carver said you went into it with a good attitude which I did not. We did one day at Universal of which I was just there for four hours and only went on Hulk and the Merry Go Round with my son. Tuesday we were at MK and I went on Small World first thing in the morning and then Space Mountain at 9PM. Other than that it was a living hell for me since it was packed and everything was a super long wait. I will say that this is entirely a me problem and I know that. There is nothing in that town that I would stand in a line and wait more than 20 minutes for. Especially when everything was at least double to triple that wait time. At one point I saw the Peter Pan wait time at 300 minutes and wanted to slap everyone in line for it. This was also the point that I came up with the analogy that Orlando is like being a cow. Free roaming until you get forced into a chute.

Friday we went to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. At HS we went on Toy Story which was really good (interactive with a target shooting game) and also went to Disney Jr Live. We also did a character lunch thing at Hollywood and Vine. Animal Kingdom was different. We Attempted to do the Lion King show but LittleWx lost his mind and we left with a couple minutes left. We didn't get on the Safari until it was getting dark but it was still interesting. Would definitely not do it after dark again though.

Overall it was what I expected. Pointless with a 1 year old since he didn't give a crap about 99.9% of things even though my FIL kept saying "You don't even know what is coming buddy!". He enjoyed meeting the characters especially Donald Duck who is his favorite since my dad brought him back a stuffed from a business trip Donald Duck a year ago. If you like rides I would suggest Universal instead of Disney. They have a higher number of more quality rides especially Hulk and the Harry Potter stuff. Disney is much more of the production and show type of stuff. Universal is also adding at least one more resort as well as a water park and I think maybe another theme park.

I know it will be back but there is no chance we go back during the busy times as that was hell.

Knew you would have a great time Rulzzz because you went into it with a positive attitude. Hope the little ones had a blast too.

I knew I would have fun as I'm a big Disney guy, but the place blew me away. So much fun. Especially Wed. which my day with my brother at Magic Kingdom. Together we did Pirates, Splash and Space Mountain.

I will say though the things from the trip I won't miss are the crowds and screaming children. :)

Another thing I enjoyed was having amazing conversations with other people there. Whether is was waiting for a bus to the resort or on the bus or while waiting for a ride I had some great experiences with other people. My last ride on Splash Mountain I was in the second section while in the first section was a dad and his daughter who was maybe 6 or 7 and this was her first ride ever. Obviously being the first section I knew they were going to get wet and she cried for a second but got over it. I told her she was really brave and it was nice riding with you.

@wxman1 totally agree on people waiting for rides with a long wait time. I'm patient enough to wait for an hour, but anything over that is insanity.

Maybe I missed something at Universal but other than Harry Potter it was awful. At least when we were there the lines were much longer and there were far less rides. People were less friendly and it was clearly more about the money than the experience with their fast passes.

Universal aside from the Harry Potter area felt like pretty much any amusement park.
