DISHWASHER RECOMMENDATIONS

Don't cheap out, buy a Bosch.

You won't regret it if you have a somewhat open floor plan.

Ive been keeping my eye out as it's likely the next appliance i'll replace. It seems like Kitchenaid has the best ones, Bosch has a lot of devotees but a good number of complaints about its drying.

Came down to a Bosch vs. GE one for us last year. Were told that the heated/drying thing on Bosch can cause issues and repairs can sometimes take longer due to the time to get parts in. Oh and that sometimes the narrow tine spacing annoys people. We checked that out and decided it did annoy us. Went with GE and no problems. Have an open floor plan and I sit on the couch not 12 feet away and hardly notice when it's running.

Don't need a dishwasher if you eat all your meals at HP and make sure they don't shut down.

Miele. Best dishwashers I have ever used. No scraping, can let food sit for a week and still comes clean. Worth the extra $$ not to have to wash your dishes first.

Also recommend Miele's rinse aid, far superior to any others. All others seem to leave a film.
