Disclosure Day

The critics seem to be all over the place on this one. Some are saying it is one of Spielberg’s better films in a long time. Others seemed to rip on the plot and thought it was boring. There was consensus that Emily Blunt was really good in the film.
I would be willing to bet that older critics lean towards the 'it's great' side of things with the younger critics really not liking it. Spielberg just doesn't and hasn't resonated with young movie goers in a very long time unfortunately. But for those that grew up on his stuff...this is a great addition to his movie cannon. I think it's a great side piece to Close Encounters with a nice dose of Minority Report. If you like those movies, you'll like this one very much.

this is where i'm at. is it an Oscar movie? No...but it was never intended to be. Is it Spielberg's best? No. But it 100% does what a movie experience USED to be without all these internet critics tearing down small things. Sometimes I just want to go to a movie, sit back, watch some amazing scenes, be made to think, and have an emotional reaction....and when a movie does that well even if there are flaws, I love it! That's what some movies are just meant to do and this does that.

Critics lose me when they say a movie like this just wasn't believable yet the same critic thinks a movie like Con Air is one of the best action movies ever made....because THAT is believable?
Fury Road is the best action movie and it's gonna be for a long time.

Yes, great action movie but I didn’t like it. Zero story and I can’t look over that. Unpopular take I know.
To me the story is just seeing the apocalyptic culture that the director has created. He doesn't really tell you, he shows you through the mundane moments of their lives.
