Disappointed with Nealy

Showing emotion can be great. But he was being a little *****, not being a leader. I'm gonna guess he (rightfully) loses playing time this week for that outburst.

We need more fire like out of O players.

I was more disapointed to see Barnett pouting.

Problem is we don't have leaders on O. No one holds anyone else accountable.

Arnaud may have not been the most talented QB, but he damn well played hard and was a leader. Chewed out players when needed, got the team fired up when needed, took the blame on bad throws, etc. Our offense goes 3 and out and everyone just trots off the field with their head down then proceeds to sit on the bench pouting.

The thing is, Arnaud could do that because he was the unquestioned starter. Barnett and Jantz don't really have that credibility.

My opinion. This offense is going to have to blow up at each other before they get better. When everyone quits blaming everyone else and gets down to doing their own job correctly will be when the offense improves. Get the crap out of your system and play the game. Sometimes trying too hard is as bad as not trying hard enough.

I agree. I'm not saying it needs to be JB or Steele, but someone needs step up as a leader. I would love to see a linemen get on another linemans *** about blocking better. Or have woody bulldoze someone for 5 yards and get up and head butt his lineman for making a great block. If a lineman jumps offsides I would love to see JB get in his face and tell him, "you better make up for that mistake by pancaking a defender on the next play!"

Some sort emotion and accountability would go a long ways with this offense.

I'd ***** out the player if he needed it anyway. Doesn't matter if you are the unquestioned starter or not. If you're the QB on the field, you're the leader as of that time. And players better listen up.

You don't just magically become the leader based on your position. You don't just magically become a leader period. You earn the leadership position. When you're splitting time, there isn't the same person in charge all the time and that's where someone like Farniok needs to step up because he's out there every single play.

Then how did Arnaud earn his leadership? Because he played like dog **** most of his career. A couple of years ago everyone on here sat and ******* out Arnaud because of his throws in the dirt and bad QB play.

1. Unquestioned starter.
2. Unquestioned toughness. Tough as nails.
3. Unquestioned character. Those guys respected him.

Still, it didn't lead to many wins. At this level in sports it's all about winning games. It's not about just having fun out there anymore like it was in junior high.

He was the unquestioned starter you dunce.

This may be true, but the last 2 are things that our QBs can control, no matter what the starting position battle is like. They need to earn #2 and #3 and more than likely #1 will follow. It doesn't seem like either have done #2 or #3.

I'd love to say I'm shocked that 21 doesn't understand what being the captain and leader means but I'm not.

And while I agree farminclone, I imagine it is difficult to have much confidence at this point when everyone except for your coaching staff is talking about how bad you all suck and how you can do nothing right. Your teammates look too timid to say anything to either quarterback and that's where it really hurts. Ben Lamaak had Arnaud's back. Arnaud would make a crappy throw and Lamaak was always there to hit him on the helmet and say it's over we have to move on. Who on the offense does that now? In order to lead people have to be interested in being led. We don't look interested in that right now...nor do we look interested in really anything else.

I completely agree. There's a real difference between these guys and Arnaud.

Yep. And the most disappointing thing is I thought JB had it just by the way he stepped in and commanded the offense last year. I guess it just isn't so.

I liked Nealy's emotion. I dont care if he got ticked off at Steele, its about time someone blew up and showed some emotion on offense. He was mad b/c it has to be frustrating to go out there and just get embarrassed on offense. Seriously, Oklahoma state doesn't have a great defense, baylor has a horrible horrible defense, but I bet they'll look like the best defense in the conference come saturday. This offense is pathetic and nobody cares or even looks like it. Barnett throws crap passes into the dirt and throws his arms up like "oh come on"
