Did we land a transfer?

Was this the guy who shot 88% free throws? Either way welcome to ISU.

My convention has always been to put the guy where he will be when the red-shirt comes off. That way, if you have a freshman on a red-shirt, he stays one the next year. The inconsistency of having Prentiss labelled as a junior instead of waiting as a senior would bother me in that way. Same thing with Shayok -- I had him as a senior this year.

I think that is fine for freshmen, but for everyone else looking at the sheet/chart, the main thing that matters is when they are available to play. Having him on the senior line is misleading because he can't play this year like the rest of the seniors listed.

Seems like the right move by the staff. There was some concern about 3pt% but this'll be a whole new lineup with a year to learn.

Someone check on rochclone.

Sincerely,
Concerned

I obviously will still cheer for him as a Cyclone. But if he shoots below 40% from the field next year with questionable shot selection I don't want to hear the board ********. In my opinion that is what we are getting. I hope the year off helps and he proves me wrong.

Hard to tell with this kid, but in Nader's case I think he was one of the few good players at NLU, so he tended to take a lot of the shots. Nader's improvement in 4 years is pretty amazing.

He was their only player.

Unpossible is one of the most underutilized words in the English dictionary.

I knew that would be the comeback. I would also point out that Nadar didn't play the point and thus he was able to placed in better positions to score by Niang, Morris, Naz, etc. I would argue that significantly helped his FG pct and would also argue that Nadar as a jr still struggled with shot selection.

Nixon is the pg and thus will control the ball. He will have better players around him certainly but it will fall on him to distribute instead of always hunting his shot. I hope it works but I continue to have my reservations.

Good thing his new coach would have a decent little track record with PG's :)

If he shoots under 40% with questionable shot selection Halliburton will be playing ahead of him. Getting Nixon is nothing but a good thing.
