Deon Broomfield Named DB coach

Yes, the Jeremiah George strip fumble that was ruled down by contact.

Are you saying Brown actually did call out the player? If so I missed it.
That was why the replay should have caught and overturned it. If it was ruled forward progress it would have been difficult to overturn but you could clearly see the ball in George's hands on replay before the ball carrier collapsed to the ground.

That's awesome. Really liked him as a player. Would be cool if Heacock's tutelage got him to the point of being able to take over as DC when the Professor retires.

That said, I kinda get the impression that Rasheed is being groomed to be the next DC.

With the DRAMATIC improvement in DL play at ISU since Sheed got on campus... I'd approve. He doesn't get enough praise for that unit and it's affect on transforming this team and program

I can't see his name without remembering this cheap shot

And it wasn't the only time it happened. I think there was another incident on that very play. Those ShortHorns were very dirty all game.

Don't really know anything about Broomfield as a coach, but this marks an interesting development in Campbell's coaching hires. I like Iowa State becoming better known as an incubator for coaches.

Seems like a really solid hire. Good for Deon also as Texans organization is a raging dumpster fire.

Ernst Brun is doing something with the youths I believe also. Independent player development maybe? Like personal trainer type stuff

JG ripped the ball out of the dude's hands and went running down the field unopposed.
Refs ruled that they couldn't see him pull the ball away, so no fumble.
It's easy to forget, but there was another obvious fumble a couple of plays before that on the 5 yard line or so ruled down by contact. Infuriating loss...because it wasn't.
