When Grill decided to transfer I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Until CSP just called me and ask if I had any eligibility left. Now I know we are in trouble next season.

My prediction. 5 TOTAL wins next year. Iowa state fans are going to have to bring it for the non power 5 home games in the non conference this year to hit that mark! Those games are gonna be barn burners this year! What. A. Dumpster. Fire.

Okay, things are bad right now but they aren’t that bad lol. If last years roster could win 12 games I don’t see any reason why next years team can’t win that many. Especially since Tyrese missed most of the conference season. Outside of Tyrese, we return basically everyone. Not only that, Javan/Dubar/Walker/Blackwell and Foster > Nixon/Jacobson.

Yesterday it was Missouri, this morning it was Michigan, now it's Cinncy... seems like tomorrow should be our turn. Jesus Steve, pull a rabbit out of the hat for once.

Well to be fair the recruitment of Wigginton, THT, and Foster were all announcement day "rabbits out of the hat" commitments. 11AM tomorrow we'll know if we can add DeJulius to the list.

Can we at least maybe save the meltdown until we know for sure we aren't getting him? He's said nothing but good things about us. If he does pick Cincinnati it will only be because it's closer to home. Still trying to stay in contact and show him what he has to come by coming here.
And better coaching

Prohm already knows- this one is over. Time to move on

AND plenty of time to fill those spots. Most coaches can fill a roster within 2 years.

Top be fair, Prohm basically lost an entire cycle so he didn't have two years. Losing your head coach that late in the off season with nothing in the pipeline was a tough spot to be in.

The thing is though, last year the big 12 was as bad as its been in a while. I expect the majority of the teams to improve. Obviously there is a ways to go but it seems like its us, K State and TCU as the bottom 3.

I’d sure hope that 5 players would be better than 2!

Maybe there is a force majeure clause with Steve's contract, in the event of a pandemic, any buyout payment is forfeited.

Cuz regardless of what happens next year, ISU probably will not be an position to buy him out

So all you can do is hope he keeps casting out lines and landing a couple of bodies to fill out the roster

I don’t think we’ll have as tough of a non conference schedule though either. We will win more games next year. I’m willing to bet that and I’m as down on Cyclone Hoops right now as anyone.

I don't know, ISU went 2-7 without TH. In one of those wins Jacobson had 21 and 13. Not saying they can't get to 12 wins, because frankly even an absolutely horrible P6 team should get to 12 wins.

Yeah, this past season's non-conference schedule was the most difficult one I can ever remember having.
