DB Nigel Tribune commits

The fact is, it's very tough to recruit to Ames, especially for football. We have been a historical laughing stock, and despite our enthusiasm for three .500 seasons in football, most recruits aren't as stoked about CPR as we are.

He'll have to out-coach, out-motivate and "out-diamond in the rough" the rest of the teams in the B12 in order to achieve satisfactory seasons.

And the whiners cry out with one voice: Whaaah! I want 5 stars, I want 5 stars!

I don't see anyone saying that, but it's pretty disappointing that we can't gain any momentum in recruiting given what CPR has been able to do with ISU. We have 7 recruits with 2 BCS offers between them. That is pretty much the historical norm in FB recruiting for ISU.

4.73 40 for a CB?

Either that time isn't accurate, there's a flaw in his running style that can be corrected with coaching, or he's being recruited at something other than corner. That time is fairly slow for a linebacker:shocked:

I think they have a new recruiting tactic. They are still going for guys that are under the radar but now they have added to that guys that are not even on the radar.

Why do I feel like this year's recruiting is similar to the way they created a team in Major League...

That seemed to turn out ok for the Indians. They smoked the Yankees and the White Sox!

Major League 3 sucked, though...

I think they plan on playing some sort of mix between a CB and DE.

next level i believe is recruiting kids that dont even play football......i mean if you are going to find a diamond right?

Hey can I get a scholarship offer?? I don't have any offers yet and would probably fit in as a 2 star recruit and run around a 4.8 40. I would fit right in.

5?!......shoot...how bout one?

Do we even have verification that this is even a live person?

Ok Mr. Recruiting Guru, who should be go for?

It is July of 2012. If you are this concerned, at this early in the stage of recruiting for the 2013 class you are naive, and an idiot. Your schtick about recruiting is annoying, and stupid.

I'm going to trust the coaching staff over some poster on CF.

He'll at least be a 2* by the time the dust settles. Same as:

Collin Bevins (who Shane was raving about)
T.J. Mutchershon (who Rhoads said could be our best safety that he's had)
David Irving
Jevohn Miller
Aaron Horne
Tom Farniok
Albert Gary
CJ Morgan
Deon Broomfield
Jake Knott
Josh Lenz
Jacques Washington

Just for a few examples.

Uh oh....here they come...the Sunshine and Rainbows Jihad!!!

Relax francis...... Dont take yourself so seriously chief.

Nobody is bashing the coaches or staff.....but yes...would be nice to hit some bigger recruits.

Momentum?

You mean the 18-20 record over 3 years. If you are somebody unfamiliar with the program, this doesn't look too exciting. Granted we Cyclone fans are excited because we see improvement on the field but to somebody looking in from the outside it is pretty mediocre.
