I actually figured that he had a decent shot at starting next season if he came back with Eisworth and White gone. Maybe an uphill battle with the playing time Chambers got and then the JUCO Langston coming in, but he would have been right in the competition.

I wonder if the level of investment required this year didn't burn some kids out. Could not have been easy and completely understandable. I know I have been ready to move on from great assignments after some time because things got so intense. Next job was just as intense but fresh context made it exciting again.

Hopefully this is an indicator of White or Eisworth staying. Could also have some younger talent that could pass him next year.
I think the younger players are going to open some eyes next year. Campbell has really talked up these last two classes.

So this is truly the last of the CPR era, right? Unless Akers or someone else comes back?

He played well when called upon, and is a P5 caliber starter. I think Chambers is all but a lock to start (assuming White and Eisworth aren't both back) along with Young of course. If both Eisworth and White leave it seems like he would have an inside track at starting, but I think King and Miller are right there too.

Lots of time put in as a Cyclone. Good luck to him. Hopefully he finds a good situation and it works out for him.

To be honest, I didn't even recognize the name of Chambers until I got a good view of the back of his jersey in Dallas running downfield after a receiver with the ball. Not a great intro to someone who is a "lock." Azunna leaving is probably evidence of it being true.

Azunna is a good player who have contributed well. I could certainly understand him wanting to be able to start for a few years somewhere else.

Good luck to him. He put a lot of hard work in for our program and his contribution is appreciated. Hopefully he sees a lot of playing time wherever he ends up

I'm assuming Chambers was going to be a front-runner to start just because as a true Fr he keeps getting more playing time as the season has gone on, even outside of I. Young's targeting.

Saying he is all but a lock is probably an overstatement on my part, but he does seem to be somebody that coaches definitely like.

Duh!
Stronger contributor, started a few games this year and then backed up Young, especially when he was out. I believe he played much of the game after losing Young in the CCG. wish him the best!

He is one of my youngest’s favorite players and always new when Arnold was in and where he was on the field. He follows him on social media and really loved Azuna’s relationship with his dog. A few of the players would get there dogs together for play dates.

Good luck to Azunna. Speaking of transfers, does anyone know where former ISU DB(safety) Keonte Jones ended up and if he's doing well?

And really, if you watch ISU football at all, you know who he is. So I assume that is just GC being the usual doosh nozzle.
To his defense, i had no idea either. Had to look him up. I don't think most casual fans would be able to name the backups, or even most of the starters. A lot of positions dont get their name called a lot of the time. He was 10th on the team for tackles. 11th or so the year before, and like 20th the year before that.

Good luck to him wherever he ends up. Thanks for your time at ISU!
