Dan Winters leaving WHO

Lol, when I saw him the first time thought it was some HS shadowing and he got to do one on air....has that HS broccoli hairdo.

But joking aside, he's pretty solid.
Tonight was the 1st time I saw him, but he seems smooth enough.

All kidding aside he does a good job and is well spoken.

Jeriann being open about some struggles she's having with speaking and is seeing doctors about it.
I was wondering if she had major dental work. I had all sorts of problems after that as it's crazy how even a small change on the interior of your mouth can make your tongue catch on it constantly. Cool to see that she's powering through it.

Yeah I hated to speculate but it almost sounded like a very mini-stroke or a type of palsy to me.

Hope she's OK, she seems so likeable.

Yeah, I probably shouldn't have, but she seems to struggle with the same types of sounds that I did after my dental work. Not my business though, so I'm glad to see she's working her way through it.

I wondered if something was going on there. My wife and I both noticed recently that she was having some issues speaking during one of her forecasts. Hopefully they get it figured out. I like Jeriann.
I've noticed it lately too but it hasn't been bad enough that I thought she maybe had a medical issue behind it but now this kind of of explains it.

I've been under the assumption that they have set her up to be the chief meteorologist when Ed eventually retires. Hopefully whatever she has going on she can get some answers and treatment for it. She's a fun personality and took a lot of courage for her to put that statement out to acknowledge something is going on.

After listening to her in the post above this is what I think it might be. I'm not a Doctor though and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express either.

I hadn't heard her in a while, though we do watch 13 a lot. But that's really jarring. I hope it's something non-serious and something she can get over soon.

I have noticed that her tone is increasingly less clear. Tom Brokaw got to the point where I was barely able to figure out what he was saying. I'm guessing it's tough on the vocal cords, talking as much as news people do...

Saw that Keith Murphy did an interview with Jeriann Ritter today that will air at 6pm Tuesday. She has not been on air lately and posted on Instagram today and her speech was not good. My guess is the interview may be her farewell or something leading up to it. Really sad to see, she is such a positive and bright person. She was probably in line to take over as chief meteorologist when Ed Wilson retires.
