Interesting, I had never seen this. I'd prefer the practice facility nearer to Hilton just to add more density but in reality it doesn't matter, I'm sure they all live out there anyway and it's easier to go to the current facility whenever they want in its current location.from 2006

Noah's Arc
I believe that this was not the first rendering. This one is almost exactly how the stadium looked when it opened in 1975. So I assume this one is a much later rendering.
I don’t know about the research park, but I’ve been to their offices by Green Hills. I think the Alumni building is nicer than those offices. I would think it would be better to move to the Alumni Center and ditch the current foundation offices.I think it’s in the research park.
Talk about a catastrophic architectural disaster. In my Architecture class at ISU, this would've bombed. No respect for the existing structure. The beginning of looking like every other school where they just start cramming things together. Give me 3 hours and I could do so much better. Seriously. Not difficult to improve on this.from 2006

Well, in 93 it would have been fitting.Noah's Arc
This one really needs to still happen. Hilton from a fan experience is really poor. Don’t really mess with anything interior to the arena but the concourses are really really bad. Concessions don’t have to be great but they need to be better than they are. The fact that you really only have two options for food really hurts any fan experience.View attachment 163771
True. And I believe the above image is the most recent renovation put on hold.
The alumni center is semi-public space. The foundation doesn't want to be bothered with that.I don’t know about the research park, but I’ve been to their offices by Green Hills. I hate to give Texas any due, but their new arena handles concessions amazingly and was priced very competitively with restaurants around the venue. This one really needs to still happen. Yep, add a lot of glass to get some light in and then I think a lot of work was to be done on the concourse/food stands etc.View attachment 163771

the more and more arenas i visit of our peers, the more disappointed i grow with how lackluster our concession options areI hate to give Texas any due, but their new arena handles concessions amazingly and was priced very competitively with restaurants around the venue.
This would have been the last yr they were in the conference.

Yeah, concessions are pretty much the same as they were when I was in school in the 90s. And guessing that they were the same then as they were when the facilities opened.the more and more arenas i visit of our peers, the more disappointed i grow with how lackluster our concession options are
Drake has more options.the more and more arenas i visit of our peers, the more disappointed i grow with how lackluster our concession options are
Texas was brand new that yr but they did it right. Bodega like areas with some type of quick scan thing if I remember right. The beers where we pregamed were the same cost as in the arena. Multiple food choices from name brand restaurants. It was amazingthe more and more arenas i visit of our peers, the more disappointed i grow with how lackluster our concession options are
