I don't think that is what happened. Why would any coach decline that? Makes no sense. Is it possible that the penalty was half the distance from the 10, where the returner fielded the punt?

To be honest outside of 1 drive, a couple bad mistakes are what kept this game close. The muffed punt and the penalties giving them fresh downs, really is the only reason this game was not a 2+ score win.

But that is how this game goes. This year we are good enough to handle those types of mistakes. In years past there were more mistakes that we could not come back from.

That was an INT regardless if that receiver fell or not, Cooper read that pass perfectly.

That really should have been at least a 17-0 lead going into the half.

It seems like once we realized the only way Iowa would win is if we and the refs continued to make mistakes, we got pretty conservative.

Glad it got the W, but we really should beat that Iowa team by 2+ TDs.
