Paniro being able to use the redshirt is huge, but it does mean him and Ech have to wrestle this year.

My guess is 133 - Frost, 141 - Ech, 149 - Paniro, 157 - Chittum or Casey and the other redshirts
Any concern with Frosty getting back down there again?

Pretty sure Dresser said Frost will make the sacrifice to get back down to 133

I have no inside info but my guess is he doesn't do that if someone isn't coming down to 41. I'll ask him next week in Waterloo at the tailgate tour stop.

Dresser indicated that is what he hopes happens, but depends on the growth this Summer

Feels like he would do it if it means his twin brother wins 141.

My opinion is
133 - Frost
141 - Frost
149 - Ech
157 - Paniro

Redshirts for Casey & Chittum (though idk if both would want to do that).

While the depth from 41-57 is a good thing, I see a low likelihood ( at least as of now) that we AA at 25, 33 ( assuming EF goes 41), 65, 84 and 97. Seems to me we are going to need some significant development with at least a couple of guys to approach last year’s success. Not saying we cannot do it ( in fact we saw some remarkable development of guys over the last couple of off seasons) but we are going to need to do so again.

What about his bro?

Can we at least wait until the transfer cycle is done before talking AA? Also, I would bet a significant amount that EF will be at 133. It also wouldn’t shock me if AE ends up back at 141 but if not the bigger Frost will man it. Also, a new 125-pounder may be on the horizon to allow tiger_guy to sleep better at night. Still a lot of moving parts.

I could see ech paniro and Casey all wanting 49. Casey is the only one who seems tall enough for 57 but all seem like 49 lbers. What if Casey wins the weight? Not a bad problem, but could get messy.

Casey needs surgery, he may just need the year to heal. There are a lot of moving pieces right now.

Totally get what you’re saying here. I trust the development capabilities again with this staff. And Im pretty sure there’s a couple of weights there where our next year’s starter isn’t on the roster yet. Between that and if Frosty does get back down and one of the young kids takes a big step (there are multiple that are plenty capable like frosty last year) those holes fill in pretty fast.
