4-1 with a last 20 second takedown by Carr when he circled around and grabbed an ankle after JPN took long shot. Other 3 points in the match were all for being on the clock. One against JPN in the first 3min and one each in the second 3min.

Agree. Once he got that ankle, you knew he was going to get to the other one. We’ve seen it a million times, he’s so freakin good from there.

I was young-ish at that time, but one of my favorite memories as a wrestling fan.
What I loved, if you saw the series on Prime about the dual earlier in the year, Kelly almost hit that spladle then and then backed away from it. Both Gibbons and Gable saw it and commented almost laughing, realizing if he hit it there, it probably would not have worked in the NCAA finals.
