Cy-Hawk face-off with Jon Miller

CW, show less emotion so that you can match Jon's one facial expression.

i never really liked jon. He is a pretty cocky hawk fan

I for one dont like Jon Miller at all, nothing to gain if you win huh, everything to lose. Just like your fanbase pal, loser.

I'm hoping he was just saying that to get us all riled up, cause he's delusional if he actually believes it.

Beating an in state rival from the Big 12 who was a bowl team a year ago is a much bigger win than Northern Illinois or Minnesota..

I dunno, after the last few years a lot of Hawk fans would kill for a win over Minnesota.

In reality, it is true. At least for now, because ISU gets so little respect nationally that a loss to them really hurts from a national perspective but a win is seen as expected. Just look at last week, ISU was an underdog at home against a non BCS opponent.

"Nothing to gain" Jeez Jon, When the rest of your non-con is 2 MAC teams and a FCS team?

I'd think the chance to beat a BSC conference team that went to bowl games 2 of last three years might be something to gain. Maybe the chance to beat to team that is gaining national attention may be worth something.

Oh yeah, there is also the opportunity to gain bragging rights and keep upper hand on in-state recruiting. If all that add up to "Nothing" it's no wonder the Hawks can't get it up for this game.

So.....this game means so much to you that you hate this week and the prospect of loosing, yet you have "nothing to gain".

Guess what Jon. The 15 game streak ended a looooooooooong time ago and it has been pretty even since then. It is no longer Iowa's "God given right" to beat ISU and it is hardly a shock when it happens. You need to rip a few years off your office calendar.

Stay delusional my friend.

And what does ISU have to gain? Strength of schedule? It isn't like Iowa is a marquee program and ISU has plenty of opportunities each year to beat actual marquee programs and has showed it can and will do that in the past.

When Iowa gets 4 games in OOC scheduling and puts together NIU, UNI, and Central Michigan as the other 3 games, they probably actually benefit from playing us. We are their best OOC game by far. It isn't like their schedule is loaded like ours is with Tulsa, Iowa, and one cupcake FCS team as the 3 games we get since we play an extra conference game.

It's not about ISU.

Tell me one good reason why mighty Iowa can't handle an unranked BCS team in their non conference with the rest of that OOC schedule? Not to mention the easiest schedule in the Big 10. Playing ISU is more beneficial this year than any year I can think of.
