Both. If you drive on a bridge over a random creek you’re “going over a creek”.

If you have a creek on your property that you walk or drive to, or a creek that you frequent, then you’re “going down to the crick”

Pronounce it the way it’s spelled. Last time I checked, nothing with “ee” is ever pronounced as a hard “i” by anyone that speaks real English.
