I understand that he may not rank up with some of the others before him but its kind of fun to think about. Assuming he finishes with a great finish this season, would be worthy of retiring? Hes the first freshman who has played all four years and who has had production like this in a looooong while.

Curious about what you all think about it?

I think he will. Definition of the ideal student-athlete.

I said this last year to mixed feedback but I think this season makes it clear. No one else should wear #3.

I thought the prerequisites to have a number retired were 1.) All-American 2.) Graduate If this is incorrect please let me know.

I think he should. 4 year starter, lead big 12 in double doubles, rebounding, 4.0 student, tons of academic accolades, lots of experiences playing for national teams, etc.

I seriously hope his jersey is retired.

Yeah, nevermind. I thought the announcers said he was in that club with Hoiberg and someone else. They also said ISU hasn't gotten 100 points in a game since 2000 so I believe nothing they said.

How close is he to 1000-1000?
Through tonight: 1,106 points, 798 rebounds. Has 32 rebounds on the year, and has averaged 255 over the first 3 years. If he hits his average/year, he'll finish with 1,021 rebounds.

Hogue might hamper his ability to get to 1,000 rebounds though.
