I got my Metronet statement today. Pricing went up 25% since I was off of my 2 year promo for 1 gig and whole home wifi. I called them up and asked what kind of promos they had. The gal I was talking with gave me a 24 month promo package for $59/month (was going to be $89/month) and the tech assure of $12 (non negotiable) and they cut my whole home wifi from $10 to $5. So I went from $115 to like $79 month. I was pretty happy. Still beats when I had Mediacom, plus no cables and speeds are great!

Just received my latest statement from Metronet. I'm pretty pleased with it. It really does pay to talk to customer service to ask about deals. This is for the 1 Gig package.

I'm paying $85 a month for Century Link. I get a Metronet flyer every week. I'm the guy that never changes and gets to pay the extra $40 a month or more. I might give this a go.

Finally got Metronet 2 weeks ago and dumped Mediacom. Save $30/month, no cables, much more stable. And twice as fast.

I get Mediacom mailings all the time. They might as well save the postage. They could give me free service for a year and I wouldn’t go back. Their service was honestly pretty reliable, but everything else was a nightmare. They even screwed up my leaving. Told me I had to pay for two weeks, then accidentally set it out six weeks. I had to call multiple times to get rid of them. Nope…never again.
