ALWAYS.If you are traveling and need to use a convenience store restroom instead of a rest area, do you typically buy something as well?
Sun flower seeds and pistachios are the best car snack.I'm a sucker for snacking while driving, so I usually end up buying something even though I don't really need/want anything. Unless I already have snacks in the car.
A soda or a pack of sunflowers seeds usually.
Not to derail the thread but this reminded me of something. It's usually dependent if I need a drink or not. I try and use rest areas as much as possible, but if I'm unable to make it to one, or there isn't one available, I'll use a convivence store without buying something.
The Barney kid also walked into a convenience store when he was six and loudly announced, “My Dad almost just killed all of us.” Husband kept insisting on driving in an ice storm after his father’s funeral and barely evaded a pickup spinning out on the interstate. Luckily the college kid behind the counter was paying too little attention to ponder calling DHS.Ever wonder why some sows will eat their piglets? I don't.

I have a buddy and we frequently travel together. He pretty much insists on stopping only at interstate rest areas to go.
I always sort of preferred to roll the dice with a commercial establishment as far as cleanliness and lack of grossness. (Not a hard fast rule, just a preference)
My opinion may have been influenced by history when there were those short little stall dividers and someone had poked or drilled holes in the divider walls in those public toilets.
Do you have a preference in general? Or it doesn't make much difference to you?
I tend to prefer public restrooms in many states. Some of them are incredibly nice and educational about the area. Some have play areas and dog walks. Some states haven’t seemed to update or clean theirs in years however. Our dog really likes the walking area at the MO welcome center on I-35.Not to derail the thread but this reminded me of something.
