Conference Prediction for ISU

really, when you say Kansas is playing well as they lead the conference and is highly ranked it is subjective?

Yes, it is subjective to say Kansas is playing well. The polls in general are subjective.

It is objective to say that ______ is ranked #____ in the AP or Coach's Poll.

Kansas was objectively leading the conference even when they weren't subjectively playing as well as I think they are now.

Subjectively I think ISU plays well for what they seem to have ability-wise, subjectively speaking. Objectively, they are currently in 4th place in the Big 12, and are projected to make the NCAA tourney on some internet websites. Subjectively, that's good for what I subjectively think of the make up of the talent of the team and coaching.

Does that help?

"I think a big 12 championship is a guarantee next year." -mikehike14 yesterday (2/2) at 10:29pm in a football thread

Don't waste your time on this troll guys, no one is that blatantly optimistic for football and pessimistic for basketball for no reason.

I'm not sticking up for Mikehike but I am more excited for football and it's February. That has not happened in 37 years

nope. I used a dictionary instead

ill go with 7-11

8-10.

Don't see us beating Baylor or Kansas regardless of location, and see us 8-6 against the rest of the teams. Honestly, that might be generous. IMO Prohm isn't clever enough to tweak things and steal a few games we shouldn't, and this team (as I said in the game thread) has our worst group of "bigs" in a quarter century. This looks to be a NIT team, flame away though!

8-10 best case scenario at this point. 9 and 9 if we're lucky.

WVU, Baylor, and Kansas looking really good right now. Plus we don't show up for lesser opponents, so we drop a couple of those, too. 8-10 sounds about right, if something doesn't change quickly.

After looking at the schedule, I'd agreed with 7-11. I could certainly see 8-10 though if they don't lose a road game to a bad team.

6 and 12.

Extremely unlikely. Would depend on the tourney.

I'd guess 8-10 right now.

Sad!

I truly think 12-6 is well within reach and I think that'd be good enough for a 5 seed in the tournament.

What's sad is you took the time to do that.

I was wrong. But lets not act like this team was on a good path early this year.

Go Cyclones.

They lost to Gonzaga by 2, Cinncy by 1, Baylor by 2.
Its not like they were getting blown out by teams

Took the team awhile to adjust losing one of the best front lines in the Big 12.

No, what's sad is you took the time to reply. You were completely WRONG about how many games 'your favorite team' could win. Just own knowing absolutely nothing about basketball.
