Posting up does work. It is all about positioning by the post and the entry feed. It also creates good 3 point shots if guys help down on the post.

I would not start Conditt over Jacobson or Young at this stage. At least Jacobson and Young have a post presence on offense. We play our best when we go inside out. If Conditt doesn't start trying to get the ball inside so our offense goes inside out, when he is on the court our offense becomes stagnant with guards launching 3's
I would rather see conditt and solo on the floor together with solo playing the 5. Conditt can do what Jacobson does with no drop off. And either conditt or solo will end up with a mismatch. Solo pulls his man out so conditt can takes advantage or vise versa. Jacobson is out there because he is a senior and was garenteed time last year because he transferred. Prohm has one more game to think up a real lineup before conference play.

Jacobson is out there because of the three he has the best chance to guard on the perimeter and stretch the floor offensively. I do not think you can have Conditt and Solo on the floor together due to defensive liability.

Jacobson get beat all the time.. atleast with conditt out there there is a chance for the shot being blocked or altered.

And I don’t care what anyone says.. if they are ok with Jacobson shooting threes there is no reason to not be ok with solo or conditt chucking a few.

I stand by my points. You cannot play Solo and Conditt at the same time due to defense. If you are going to switch in the perimeter, you cannot play Conditt and Solo. BTW - I am not picking on them, they both have things they do well. That is why the rotation is Conditt and Griffin at the same time.
Also, the team three point DATA is:
Team .312
Lewis .556
Haliburton .424
Jacobson .364
Grill .308
Jackson .290
Griffin .261
Nixon .259
Bolton .213
Conditt .000 (0-2)
Solo .000 (0-1)

We only have three guys shooting an acceptable 3 point %, and Jake is one of them. The guy that needs less minutes (or shots) is Bolton.

Bolton has to be playing injured.

Could be, but he does not look like it to me.
I thought Bolton was the key to us having an average team this year. We needed him to be a reliable scorer. So far, that has not turned out to be the case. I certainly hope he can start hitting some shots.

Just reminds me of naz during his off year.

Like it or not, we are a guard oriented team. If you plop one or two guys on the block, you've destroyed all your driving lanes and spacing. If you couple Conditt's ability to roll on picks with the value of creating driving lanes and spacing I can see why you don't just sit him in the post. Seems to me our primary goal is to get Tyrese going downhill and allow him to make a read. That's best accomplished with a ball screen.

That's not to say you shouldn't have some sets predicated on getting him a post touch. But I just don't see the value of anchoring him on the block and throwing it in to him every time.

3 post entries that I saw on Tuesday.
1. Conditt right hand hook (basket is good)
2. Conditt pass to Bolton for wide open 3 (Basket is good)
3. Conditt right hand hook (Miss).

All three of these looks were better looks than we got most of the night.
