Going to Lazerfest this year since its only a few miles from Ames. Excited to see Chevelle and Volbeat, also will be interesting to see how 5FDP is live (although I'm skeptical). Slash will be interesting just because he is a legend, Not really a big fan of Adelitas way, but they have a few good songs (makes me think of ISU bball every time I hear "Invincible"). Overall I think it will be pretty good, plus some friends are coming down so it should be fun regardless.
Will be interesting to see who they get, may get tickets depending on the lineup
I was thinking that DMB would possibly do Red Sky(music festival in omaha) but after looking at there tour and the dates of the festival it is a no go... Really ****** I cant go to Alpine Valley... Our daughter is in a wedding that weekend... So really im kind of hosed again this summer with DMB.. Im sure they will do a late fall tour with Sprint Center or quest Center stop... Since really we kind of got screwed.. Even Chicago usually has a show.. but now just Alpine...
Never listened too them much, but from the few things I've checked out, I'm sure I'll like them. They're playing here in Ft Collins in late March, it's on the calendar. Will plan to bike home.
I've got tix to Death Cab for Cutie in a small theatre in Denver, playing with an orchestra. Should be cool.
Seeing the Joy Formidable on St Paddys day too, excited to see how that goes.
I'm waiting for killer shows to be announced for Red Rocks. Hoping for at least one of the following: Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire, Jack White solo, or anything else equally awesome.
Sorry to hear that cyhawkdmb. My early ticket request for the 7/7 show @ Alpine has been submitted. It will be my wife's 30th Bday that weekend, so it should be a good time and we'll finally be able to get our DMB fix. Good luck on getting to a show in the fall.

Maybe only one or two, in the encore. And not always. For the rest of the show, they're all Departed songs or other covers.
I went to the show last year, and admittedly was probably the best show I saw all summer. However, I'd like to see someone there I haven't seen before, and they get so many shows you kind of have to pick and choose.
Already have my tickets. This will be my 5th time seeing them.
(Saw them at Bonnaroo in 2010 and that will be tough to beat.)

Their new albums is awesome. Will be interesting to see if they tour with the whole horn section or not.

I still requested saturday night tickets... I have a concert buddy that will gladly take them... But My dream is to make it out to the Gorge someday! Hell it could be for a Nickelback concert and I wouldnt care! Do they have the openers listed for DMB this summer? I heard Avett Brothers for the gorge...
Im yet to attend an actual Departed concert but from the videos on youtube they play a few ragweed songs. Cant say as to how many. One of the "worst days" in my short life was when they broke up.
I think they've literally never played a show in Iowa, which I don't get, so I'm not holding my breath for DSM. KC seems like a good candidate. I really hope they don't get on the Warped Tour again this year. What a terrible fit.
I just saw the Departed here in Germany in December. They are playing a lot more Ragweed songs now.
